 Management errors

Despite a budget showing reassuring figures, the monthly results of the national company were sometimes allmost contradictory and the explanations given by the CEO not really consistent. Half of the board was still confident but the other half had lost confidence in the management. A speed audit was decided under the form a support to the CEO, since the CFO was totally overburded. We conducted an torough review of the working practices, of the accounting methods, followed internal meetings, checked documentary resources, analysed the regular auditors review, etc. Our first analysis reported several precise misshappenings and management errors. The background check of the CEO discovered similar problems in earlier positions. The board decided then unanimously to pursue the audit. Several fundamental management mistakes were then discovered, among others some implicating the personnal responsibility of the board. Thanks to our successive action reports, corrective measures could be taken on time and the responsibility of the board could not be challenged.
